Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC Review

When I first heard on IGN that there were some new trophies featuring Joker's main squeeze, Harley Quinn, I imagined the standard character DLC like with Robin, Nightwing, and even from Arkham Asylum's PS3 exclusive of Joker's challenge maps. I was hoping to play as the psychotic sidekick wielding her giant mallet against Arkham gaurds and Gotham's police force as with Joker. We later learn prior E3 that it would be a extension of the game.

The DLC is available now for download or if you don't already have Arkham City you can get the Game Of The Year Edition which will include Harley Quinn's Revenge along with all the DLC already out there plus the animated movie of Batman: Year One. Also included, terrible cover art.

The DLC continues a few weeks after the main story of the game so **BE WARNED! SPOILERS AHEAD!**

The DLC itself adds a new icon to the menu screen a few blocks down from Catwoman's. It will not interfere with your main game as it does not feature the entire map. It keeps within the confines in and around the Steel Mill as Harley who had gotten a little more crazy after Joker's death, attacks and kidnaps some Arkham's Poilice in a plot to lure in the caped crusader. The area is teeming with what's left over of Joker's henchmen who don't all sound like they want to follow Harley but terrified to do otherwise. You take turns playing as Batman and Robin. Batman who doesn't quite seem himself after Joker's death has become more serious and feels responsible for the officer's kidnapping as he charges head on to stop Harley. As Robin you chase after Batman to find him and stop Harley as well. If you've played Robin's DLC you may already know how to use the boy wonder which is a good thing because when you jump into this DLC there are no hints. Robin's shield plays a few important roles to help you traverse through certain areas such as blocking turret fire or getting around a vent but aside from that there's not much use of his other gadgets as I'd hoped. The hole DLC is very linear and probably takes around 1 or 2 hours to complete. It's a nice continuation to the story but I was hoping for a little more and to be able to travel throughout Arkham City with Robin. There is some extra play time if you want to find all the balloon.

Summary:
It doesn't really need a summary as it's a pretty short DLC and so is my review of it. Harley Quinn's Revenge is a short linear quest that continues where the story left off after Joker's demise. If you have 10 dollars to shell out for this expansion and can't get enough Batman then I would say maybe wait for a price drop or a bundle. I still had fun playing it, I just wanted a little more.

Verdict:
7.5/10 Buy It . . . later
